Minecraft Dungeons Now has Cross Platform Play

Dust off the old sword, artifact, and bow, a new feature comes to Minecraft Dungeons. Cross-platform play is now available, so players can finally gather their closest allies across any device. This includes playing the two DLCs available already: Creeping Winter and Jungle Awakens.

The game is already playable on a wide range of systems, including Windows 10, Launcher (Windows 7, 8, and 10), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Currently the Xbox Series X/S is the Xbox One version. It can be played on PlayStation 5 but may not for cross-play because not all features work on BC (backwards compatible) PS4 versions. Learn more about how that works on PlayStation’s Backwards Compatibility page.

For those who have already beaten the game but want to play with friends, Mojang Studios recently added Apocalypse Plus difficulty which will add greater challenges to the procedurally generated world. There are also the two DLCs available for individual purchase or free with the Hero Edition. The Creeping Winter DLC, allows players to slide across ice while hunting the Wretched Wraith and its henchmen the Illusioner and Iceologer. While the Jungle Awakens DLC takes the battle to the Jungle Abomination with 2 added Mobs: the Leapleaf and Whisperer. Both DLCs add new weapons, artifacts, armor, and most importantly three new levels each.

Minecraft Dungeons can now be played with your friends across most systems with a recent update. Save files are still dependent on the individual system used. However, Mojang has stated that the cloud save feature that will allow users to play save files from any system will come in a future update.
